Priscilla holds a BA in Combination Social Science with an Anthropology emphasis from UCSB and started working on campus in 1972. She has served in the Registrar's and Admissions Offices, in the Departments of Economics and Earth Science, and in the College of Letters and Science. Over the course of her career, she has participated in various forms of alternative dispute resolution, such as mediation and restorative justice, and has also served on a variety of campus committees. She took a primary role in instituting the Leadership Development Program in the College of Letters and Science. Priscilla served as the Acting Assistant Ombuds for Program Development for one year in 2006 and was hired as the Campus Ombuds in May 2007.

Kirsi holds a BA in French Literature from Bryn Mawr College and a M.S. in Counseling Psychology from California State University at Northridge. Kirsi is also a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. In addition to having a private practice, Kirsi has held various counseling positions where she has worked with children, families, and AIDS patients. Most recently, she has worked with UCSB students at Student Health where she developed the stress management program for students and introduced such services as individual stress counseling, meditation, and massage. Kirsi was hired as the Associate Ombuds in September 2007. |
Bill received his Ph.D. in Philosophy from Cornell University. After 37 years of service in the Philosophy Department at UCSB, he retired in June 2005. He served as chair of the Philosophy Department from 1977-1980 and again from 1987-1990. Bill also chaired the Academic Senate Committee on Educational Policy and Academic Planning (CEPAP) during 1994-1995 and served as the Senate's Charges Officer from 1999-2005. In 2004 he chaired the UCSB Conflict Resolution Task Force, the committee appointed by the Executive Vice Chancellor to consider how the UCSB campus might best serve the faculty, staff, and student body in conflict resolution and mediation. Bill has been the Faculty Ombuds since April 2006. |

Lainie holds a BA in Political Science and Religious Studies from
the University of California, Berkeley.
She has been trained as a mediator through the Institute for the Study of Conflict Transformation. Prior to moving to Santa Barbara, she worked at UC Berkeley in Student Affairs. Lainie has been the office manager and intake coordinator for the Office of the Ombuds since July 2005.
